Look for an aluminum tank with similar dimensions

Ebay has some good aluminum ones, that's where I got mine. Mine was a champion radiator and only cost me about$150 shipped but it wasn't a Chinese crap

was that a direct fit (made for toy) or did you just go by dimensions?

Thats too bad. The last one I bought from them was copper/brass 3 core unit for $111 to my door. They were always my go to vendor.

It wasn't direct fit for my truck but it was for a 92 toy pickup with a 22re.. as far as I know the only thing different for v6 version was its 3 core instead of a 2

I can't say for the newer mtrucks, but it didn't exactly in my 77. Width was perfect, so I used the top two holes and redrilled the bottoms. They were only off like 3\4"

I just ordered one from LCE and installed it the other day. It took all of 50 minutes and I was taking it easy, 22Rs are so easy to work with.

After a test drive or so I can't say much except it cools as well as the one before (but that probably has more to do with the thermostat which opens quite early, needle is close to the lower line marked C). The one from napa is exactly the same, both are CSF, 3 core all metal (copper/brass). I had an all aluminium one before (some no name from China bought from autopartswarehouse.com), it lasted about 80k miles and developed a small leak, might just fix it to keep as a spare.

Heavy Duty Radiator 22R/22RE 1983-1995 Pickup & 4Runner With Cap, LCE: Heavy Duty Radiator 22R/22RE 1983-1995 Pickup & 4Runner With Cap

Radiator NAPA, ATM 1532401 Altrom imports: NAPA AUTO PARTS

NAPA's altrom import parts often are OEM and of good quality, priced a bit higher than their regular stuff. LCE's OEM parts are pretty much the exact same parts. In my opinion you can't really go wrong either way. I prefer LCE for online shopping since they ship fast, NAPA is best when I want or need to go to a physical store.

The price is about the same for both, LCE asked $279 at the time of ordering, napa may be $10 or so cheaper (it appears to be on sale as of 03-08-2015). I suspect it's gonna last a while and cool well since it is 3 core, which I believe is meant for heavy duty applications such as towing. I read the original one for regular trucks has 2 cores. Lots of cooling capacity left over under normal circumstances. :)

I kind of like the shiny painted look, but that's soon gonna fade and get dirty. ;-)
