radiator boils over when ac/heater fan is on

    Just got my 87 pickup and im trying to fix the heat. when i turn on the fan (hot or cold) the engine gets hot and boils out of the radiator overflow. any help would be useful...

    I take it your meaning the heater fan? which I don't know what that would have any thing to do with the overheating issue. Several possibilities could be causing the boil over, plugged radiator, stuck thermostat, bad clutch fan, or worse case blown head gasket. Good luck

    Bad radiator cap... Sometimes it's the simple things that cause the most problems... :looney:
