turbo 22Rs got W58s I believe. The V6 got the R150. I don't know of a bellhousing to put the R trans onto a 22R motor. The turbos may be the exception. Which in that case, I say sell that bellhousing. Guys with built celicas pay a pretty penny for them to put turbo supra trannies behind 20/22Rs. The supra one I speak of is the R154. They hold up to 500-600 hp in heavy ass supras with boost. I don't know why anyone with a 4 banger would need one that strong.

Well this guy said it bolts up to a 22r, he also said it was a r151 which is a 4x4 trans, so i dont know what he's thinking. I think im just going to mate my w45 bellhousing to the w58 that im picking up saturday..i dont like guys who dont know what they are selling

Stick to the W58. The R151, in my humble opinion, would be overkill.

As for the bell housing, I've seen them at least once a month in the yards, off of an early to mid 80's Celica Supra 22RE already mated to a W58. If you already have a healthy W58 then just take the bell housing.

They're not that hard to find. At least not up here.

In case anyone does care, the R150 went behind the 22rte and the V6. So if you did get that trans the bellhousing could be used to mount a R154 to a 22R.

Marlin crawler has pics of toyota trannies and their applications just got to their site and look up the pics and they also parts and rebuild kits.
hope it all worked out for ya
