im removing the doors on my 81 4x4 today, but there is a 2 wire harness going from the body thru the door, anyone know what these are for? i dont see anything in the service manual for them and they are factory wires. thanks in advance, tony
nobody? im thinkin maybe a speaker wire but there are no cut outs in the doors for a speaker, unless it was factory wired for a power window set-up. i took the panels off of my 86 and there is no such wire in there.
i would assume speaker wires, mine were in the door panel, not cut out, it has a square speaker cover that comes out 1/2-3/4" or so?
i've come across several more doors for the trucks and they all have them as well. i'm sure your right with the speaker wire deal. guess i better get some door panels with grills now.
I have a 2000 Toyota Camry and my door lock quit about a month ago, and now my power window quit. I read your tip about checking the wiring going onto the door and BINGO i had 3 wires completely broke and 2 more on their way. Reconnected them and everything came back.
