help..? no? Hmm. Are most people on this forum from the usa? Do you have hiace vans there? Come to think of it, i dont think ive seen a toyota tacoma here yet. We prob just named it a hilux, whats the difference?
g'day mate! I would measure the hiace leafs first. btw do you have a tray? 98% of all utes i saw had trays hahahaha
Yea most of use here are from the US. Overseas got different names for dam near everything. which one is the hiace? is a previa? idk we got all the stupid names. yea and pretty much everywhere but here the Hilux name kept on, here we got pickup or truck. super fckin lame.
g'day mates haha.. As if we say that. i had a thought, a Hiace would weigh more, therefore its springs will be stronger, so if they actually do fit a Lux, it wont lower it., seeing as an empty Lux weighs very little. Just a thought. My lux has a tub. Mm, i see a mixture of tubs and trays. I guess trays are popular with tradesmen cos they are alluminium and wont rust. Yeah, ill have to measure a hiace's springs.
Hiace's are sort of like the previa's, but i THINK Toyota brought over the hiace some year, im not exactly sure. lol! when i was there i was told g'day mate hahahaha nice! I was in the Yagoona area of Sydney and alot of ute's had trays. how many leafs are in your leafspring pack? my factory setup was the main, secondary, and the overload spring. that's 3 for most of us. pulling the secondary drops the truck about 2"
If you are looking for same height and stiffer springs, I'd suggest a spring shop adding a leaf or two, but dearching them so they have no lift. They could also take some arch out to make them lower the truck.
