So, I got out of my yota for about 6 months of it being broke down. Drove my other junk around for a while and decided to fix mine. So today I finished my 21r-u swap. For those who don't know, it was a motor from japan that was originally sent with 50k. They have super tight emissions laws. Consider it a 20r with a smaller piston (84mm). I swapped my ported intake and weber, my header, my good dizzy and coil, and oil pan. It already had a tight double row timing chain. Got it fired up and running. Few small projects to work out like the alternator upgrade and tucking my exhaust up better. Should be able to get a video of it tomorrow.

    Nooooow....time for a hilux meet :D

Thanks guys. I got the alternator swapped and have been driving it for the past couple days. Some bimbo backed into me at the gas pumps, didn't really hurt it. I yelled at her and left. Its still filthy from the motor swap. Still full of junk. And still has some character issues, but I love it :D

lol, because my old was is like a thousand pages long. Figured I'd save people some time and bandwidth :D

Anyways, sorry for the delay. **** it, heres the pics

Heres how it sat in my yard for about 6 months after I blew up the hybrid. It'll get torn down and redid. Tossed a 21r in for now, which seems to be running real good. Daily to 7 grand :D

Didn't take many pics of the motor swap, cuz well...you've all seen them

Few parking lot shots. My cousins complex has a sweet tercel, and I found a herse one day. I swear I coulda parked inside it

Decided to bite the bullet, spend the $45 and get some of the non-usdm front markers. Wiring was as easy as 2 butt connectors to splice the factory plug onto this housing. I ran the white for marker and orange for blinker. I'll swap to some LED bulbs on the white as soon as I solder them up. Only 1 seller on ebay seems to stock them. I was very shocked to get them from china to my place in about a week. "RN20 parking lights" seems to bring them up.

You can also see my other nose mod's. The belt buckle I stole from a vegas hooker in place of the center badge, the H4 conversion lights with yellow and white bulbs, a little bit of the gianormo radiator poking out the bottom, and the vintage "POO" plate.

Took it to one of my favorite graffiti walls in Seattle after the last cruise we had. Shot a few new pics.

Here's a couple artsy ones too.

Here's a few lights on pics. Low beams and markers, and then highs with the hazards on to show all of it.

I have also added a tach to my cluster of white gauges in the middle of the dash. It's the matching one to the set. Haven't done much else to it inside yet, but it sure is nice to have the damn thing back.

The yellow bulbs are 2500K color. Had to spend a bit extra, but I wanted them REALLY yellow. When I run the headlights on 12ga wire and relays, I'm going to set up a switch to allow me to turn on the whites for low beams as well. Thats easy enough.

And here are a few more pics from that same graffiti area from last summer. Its 77yoter's truck. I gave him my old tail lenses.

And here is a shot of the dash gauges before I put the tach in the left square pop out. The third switch is a wiper switch with a hole drilled. Most trucks don't seem to have anything there. I wired an electric/air train horn kit I had kickin around onto it. Used the high setting, so the low is sort of an "armed and ready" spot. Its the best mod I've done in a long time. I love spookin people with it.
