I plan on doing some work soon, so i figured i might as well start a thread. These threads seem like a great place to have all your work in one place, im excited to be able to look back!

    this is my 5spd 1993 2WD 22RE toyota pickup.
    also this is my baby.

as you can see there isnt any damage on this side..

the grille needs to be replaced...(she fell victim to a new years party :verdict_in: )

then on the driver's side we begin to see the damage:

there are some tiny rust spots over the truck, but i've been lucky to not have anything serious develop over the years it has been sitting..but either way i'm getting a bed from a guy on the forums saturday so the bed damage is of no concern.

this is the engine ...er...engine bay. i'm planning on rebuilding the stock engine with a performace kit from LCE..any oppositions? i want it to pull, but i want most of the work to be on the visual side of things..

i love lce..but their stuff is so expensive. you can search and usually find parts for cheaper.

i would start by porting your intake manifold yourself. and getting a header, with a nice 2.25-2.5" exhaust system. after that, do a cold air intake. i say port the intake first, because youll really notice the CAI after that. next would be a cam. no need to go heavy into the motor if you have a good solid starting point.

yea im not sure what the process for porting an intake manifold would be...but other than that this is really pretty helpful.
originally i wanted to do a lot of stuff to the engine when i first got the truck, but a lot of the mods required the engine pulled...now that this isnt a daily anymore, i have the engine in peices and it is so much easier to replace parts as i put it back together rather than take it apart and replace single parts.....

they make porting kits. its basically a sand paper drum on a drill or die grinder. you remove metal from inside the intake to allow better flow. it smooths it as well as makes it larger. i have photos of mine in my project thread. "mork - 78 toyota"

also, i was going to get the shaved bed that was for sale in the for sale section in the forum, but my buddy who was going to drive me got called into work during the time we were supposed to drive out.....(im getting my wisdom teeth cut out tomorrow at 8:45am..so i wouldnt have been able to drive xD)..but that would have been a nice nice set of pictures....

    a minor setback.

i plan on having more stuff to report in the following week....

Theres a huge gaping hole where i believe a very critical piece to any vehicle should be.

Looks like a good starting point, WAY better than mine

his truck is actually powered by the kinetic energy of single mothers. didnt you see the pole mounted in the engine bay? he already said it sat for a while. thats why the lack of constant friction let the pole rust up.

and i think the reason the truck sat for a while, is because the trucks powerplant got her GED from night school.

Look like a good project. Shame about front end. Looks like the grill, and valance are a little bent, might just b the pic. Hopefully the pedestrian you hit was drunk that way they never felt a thing:D. J/K

So wud this single mother kinetic energy setup be considered some sort of rotary?

And Migotse just cut the exhaust right after the cab. No need for any extra piping:lol:
