So I have seen it done on a few trucks before. I have been thinking about doing it for my truck. More so for the notch cover and bed floor. Once I notch it and 4 link it, it would be nice to see it all. Also thought about doing the front floor mat area that way. Thought it would be cool to see the street flying underneath, and all the stuff I am barely clearing lol. So what do people think?

The idea is cool, but think about what normal road debris (mostly sand and pebbles n ****) will do to it after a few thousand miles. The lower you get, the more likely that ground effect will lift and bounce stuff like that around under your truck.

yea.... for a "show truck" im sure it'd be a neat concept but for a daily im not so sure it'd last very long... you'd have to clean it constantly..

I don't mind cleaning it. If it gets roughed up it can be resanded and polished. Thought it would make a sweet notch cover. My bed floor is trashed anyways. Solid but beat.

Like a glass-bottom boat in a truck! I like it! I agree with above that the road will mess it up pretty fast. your major problem will be pitting from the gravel and such, much more than just dirt. But like was said before, it could be easily replaced, especially if you made it so the panels could be unscrewed and removed easily. A solid idea either way.
