Just signed up here today. Let's see if I can post some pics of a pretty easy seat install project I just completed.
They came out of a couple of late 80's Camrys. I say 'a couple' because they are both driver's seats, as they have much more adjustments. I welded up some angle and tubing frames that bolt to the stock mounting holes, then welded the Camry tracks to these frames.
The new seats offer much more fore/aft adjustment. I've got them set up to offer another 1 1/2" of rear room. I'm 6' 2" and the stock seating was plenty for me. They are able to move some 4" forward of 'stock'
The adjustments are front base up/down - rear base up/down - recline - lumbar. The head rest raises/lowers and will ratchet into maybe 4 different positions. All adjustments are mechanical, no electric, will work forever!
They fit excellent and offer Much Better Support. The factory should have used this setup.
I got them during a half price sale at one of those Pick Your Part type junkyards. Paid $20 each. It must have been my lucky day as they are both the same color.

Small world - I'm in Lancaster. I'll get some exterior shots posted soon. The truck has a pop top camper on it. It has a door between the tail lights so I can haul stuff (2x4's, lengths of metal, good **** and junk) Great little machine and it fits in the garage.

I just finished mounting some new seat/shoulder belts. I'm working on cab carpeting. I'm half done and it's coming out well. The truck Runs Great and looks better than average. I want to put in a second gas tank, which will make me remount the muffler and it needs a decent radio. I've gutted the camper interior and will rebuild it to my liking. I've got a skill saw and a sewing machine and a soldering iron. What could go wrong? I'd like to put a 5 speed in it and will be checking into that after a while.

The tail lights/ running lights were ALL JACKED UP when I bought it. The turn sigs would not work if the headlights were on. You step on the brakes and the side lights would go on. I Have Never seen anything so screwed up. I cut all the wiring at the rear of the frame and at the tail lights and got out my test light. All's well now. It is so cool to be safe & legal. Got to be 'that' first, then mess with the fun stuff.

I'd call your '93 'new' most my stuff is old and bought the truck cause it's pre smog. A buddy and I drove to Oakland last August and checked it out. Ran Great on the drive home. Love Toyotas. My folks bought one in '67 used, Ran forever. Can you find parts for your truck in the junk yards? It's pretty cool to walk though those places and check 'um out.

Your truck is lifted? That's what it was called in high school. Probably with an air bag system? I checked out a setup where the guy had a presurized tank. Real clean set up!

    I've also a nice stock '88 Fiero and a '75 Jaguar sedan I'm putting a Chevy V8/auto trans in.

I've recently been out to the 'yard' on 90th East and found another matching front seat. One of the ones I bought originally has a worn spot on it. I got the New seat for $15. All I need from it is the 'bottom' so now I've got "extra parts" Can't have too many extra parts!

You do your own work and mods? I'd call your truck a low rider, 'had one in high school, in the early 70's Cut the springs and had Too Loud glass packs. Took off the door handles and had starter selonoids kick the doors open.

You interested in a pair of stock bucket seats that came out of my truck? Low back, factory material that have split open seams. Comfortable and no broken springs. I put them on Craig's List this morning for 20. Drive to Lancaster and you can have the pair for 10. 5 each. There are pics on CL under 'parts-toyota-Lancaster'

I would be even more jealous if those seats had arm rests. My bench seat in my pickup is doing numbers to my back so some new seats may be in the works.

Yeah mine has a full air ride system. I've only been to a couple junkyards out here and they didnt have much parts for my truck. I'm trying to locate a 4runner with a complete front end on it but they are rare around here.

I'll go check out those seats u put on CL. I have a couple friends looking for some so i'll let you know!

I do some of the mods myself but having no welder and real shop tools puts me behind.
