when i baught my truck i was told that the parking brake was disconnected.

when i looked under it looked cut and zip tied to the leafs. (i have to leave it in 1st everytime i park... ) lol
i can think of no reason why the parking brake would have needed to be cut

where can i get the parking brake cable so i can replace it myself?? any help will be appreciated! im over going to the dealer to get me a set..

    thanks.

ya ive gotten a lot of pretty good parts form the junkyard the unfortunate thing about the junkyards in hawaii is that all cars/trucks are sitting on the ground with no wheels layin frame. would kinda be hard to get the cables out..

Theres a toyota truck at ABC behind cutter Dodge in Pearl City. You needs to bring a jack and some blocks. What size are your rims? They may have cut it because it was rubbing on your rims.

Great idea guys ! I have recently aquired a solid back window ( Thanks for the idea Gary ! ) from them and some trimmage :D I sent out an inquiry email then called the office. Ive known a few guys that have cut their e-brake cables during the winter because the freeze up with the temperatures, others have gottent yanked on and lock up, a few got ripped out by aggresive driving  . Me - I still have mine and it works quite well !

mine- Problem, wouldn't let my truck air all the way down and would lock the brakes up. Solution, I cut that sumbitch right off and it lays all the way and doesn't lock the brakes up anymore. I never used the damn thing anyway, even when I had my old truck with the 5 speed i just left it in first gear.

Also, I guess if you can " lay frame " I guess that could become your e-brake, therefore making the stock e-brake even more useless . . .

    :D

In less your state goes to inspections, than you'll have to reinstall it!
In Ca. you have to have one, through we don't have inspections ,yet!!
