Anyone have to combat rust? I live 3 blocks from the ocean so there's quick and aggressive decay of cars here. Trying to come up with an idea of "rust proofing" my truck when I get around to repainting it.

On the frame & suspension parts you can use POR-15,this product can be applied directly over rust, & will stop it & seal it!
Use also on the whole interior metal than over with a sound deader,I use Fat Mat.
Use also in the wheel wells, than spray a rubberized under coat .
On the exterior, you should remove all the surface rust ,& I'd spray a epoxy primer over all, than your finish paint!
This should protect pretty well against rust!
