So I wanna primer my truck but don't want grey or black but somethin different an I like rustoleum paints cause there easy the two colors I wanna mix together are a satin an gloss. Was wondering if I'd run into any problems doin that
Make sure that the paints or clears that you mix are made by the same company and the same dates. Different companies will use different thiners and hardeners or even base compounds that can freak out and seperate or have other bad reactions, also the date is important because companies are constantly changing chemicals to accomidate the forever annoying EPA.
Check your local auto paint distributor for a tintable primer. If your gonna paint your car a solid color, just spray it a single stage urethane and I believe you can add a flattening agent to get the desired gloss your looking for.
