Overdrive Light Flicker

    1990 Extended Cab
    Since I've owned this truck, the overdrive light has been flickering. I've changed the filter, fluid and gasket. I've been able to get 5 turns on the speedometer cable and still flickers. Does anyone have any suggestions of what might be wrong.

    89 std cab
    its something to do with the wire being chewed up in your shifter column, my 92 did the same thing but I never fixed it.
