We have a 77 2WD that has some issues. Just got it two days ago.

Last night we were removing some of the aftermarket stuff the previous owner installed, like a trailer brake, wiring for aftermarket gauges, air horn, etc.

Everything worked on it before, but now the only thing that works are the low beams lights and maybe the. It wont start and nothing else comes on.

Might it be the fusible link? There's an empty spade connector on the back of the fuse panel.

Any help is appreciated. We need to fix ASAP!

The empty spade connector on the back of the fuse block is just that, an empty connector, not used for anything specific. I would check the fuse links at the battery, one is for headlights, the others is the main power lead, if those check out OK, then I would start looking at all the connection points where you removed stuff to make sure a main power source didn't get whacked.

The fusible link was the issue. The wire was just all nasty, so I replaced it with a new link and wire.

    Back to normal!
