Well here are some preliminary pics right from the body shop. Quick history, I purchased last year from original owner in Huntington Beach, CA with 120K on her, 5 spd, AC, nicely kept. She had some surface rust as the guy was a surfer and at the beach a lot. Also sme body damage on the drivers side as a drunk driver bounced off cars parked on the street one night.

Here are some pics when I brought her home Jan 2008.

This are picks from last month - one year later, not much difference

And here is yesterday at the body shop after a new / old bed off craigs list with no rust, new fender and door, and freshly painted 80's CA plates.

The next pics you'll see will come next week, I bought Belltech spindles, belltech shocks, 3" blocks for the rear and some Starion wheels from Blazinrola back in December. Thanks for looking and being cool guys on this forum, everyone is 'real' on this site and that's appreciated from myself and everyone else on here I'm sure.

I love it. Should look real tight with the Starion wheels. Jap beds look right on an Xtra Cab. Can't wait to see it next week.

Yeah mang, at first I didn't like the Jap bed and preferred the smooth lip bed but I'm warming up to the Jap bed especially on the x-cab. I really need the front bumper from a 4-runner like you have sunset, maybe you can educate me on which year 4-runner you got that from, I've got to do something about mine.

You did! It was on the OC graigslist about 14 months ago. The guy wanted 2,000 for a 85 truck with body damage? But the truck had been owned by this one guy all its life, had not been abused and the guy bought nothing but Toyota parts for the thing its whole life so that's why I pulled the trigger, I didn't pay him 2K for it but close, at the time all I was seeing were 6 owner trucks that had been dogged out with 235,000 on the clock - I thought this was the better option.

It's funny because now that the outside is nice again I noticed how dingy and dirty the inside is! I've seen those carpet kits on ebay that are preformed for around 100.00 - has anyone used or have an opinion on these kits?

Not yet, all of your stuff is going on next week - I really need that front bumper now man, I replaced the oe chrome strip and the two black rubber pieces on the side but one of the caps covering the screw head has already come off so I'm over it - I need a 4-runner front bumper!

I like doing one slow mod at a time, that way it's like new over and over again. This way I don't get bored of it and sell it right away.
    If that makes any sense

It makes sense, because of money I seem to do one thing at a time and take some time in between as well. In this case I've had the lowering hardware staring at me in the garage for over a month now, so I'm eager for the next step.

I'm finding my new drivers side door doesn't fit well, does anyone know of where I can buy the door seal at other than the dealer? I also need the little clips the hold the door panel onto the door itself - will I find these panel clips at autozone or pep boys by any chance?

Hey!!! That's my color!!!!! I had it first....

    Re-paint NOW!!!!!

    J/K

We should make our trucks identical. That would be sick.
