oil pan removal

    any way to drop the oil pan without taking the control arm and tie rod loose??

    even with my puller they won't come loose..

    Unbolt the stabilizer and the idler arm from the frame... The whole steering should come down enough to clear the pan. This way you don't jack up any of the greased ends... On my '82 I also had to unbolt the swaybar from the frame for more clearance... :waytogo:

    *Tip: Mark the position of the idler arm before removal. It doesn't move much but, enough to possibly change your alignment.

    I'm stuck tho, don't have the physical strength to do it being disabled..

    I'll pay to have it done

    well have a mechanic coming over to help me tomorrow, will cost me but save me a bunch of *(&@^#$*&@^ words too

    Hope it works out! Don't forget to have him clean the pickup tube while your in there...

    will do..

    I will be able to help with the small stuff like timing gear and timing, covers and pumps, I just can't get on the ground to help with the pan and such..
