well i was under my truck today and there is oil all over the place. i looked at the oil pan and on the corner of the gasket there is a chunk missing. so i got a new gasket but ive heard the only way to drop the pan is to drop the front suspension. is this true? whats the easiest way to do this?

just drop the 3 bolts from your pitman arm on the passenger side, its bolted to the frame then it will allow it to droop enough to slide the pan out, take out your crossmember also
