So im coming up on an oil change on my 91 toy 22re and i was wondering the book says 10w-30 and 5w-30 as well for cold temps so i was wondering which would i follow or what do you guys use, the weather here isnt consistent sometimes its 50° then the next day its like 30° or below so its hard to give a consistent weather reading but just wantes everyones opinions on what oil to use thanks!

I'm at a point where I don't think it's a good idea to ever run dino 5W30 in anything ever anymore. After 2500-3K miles it comes out like water; no shear at all. Scary.

Synth 5W is a champ, though. I've converted pretty much all my stuff over to Rotella T6 year round. I stock up on gallon jugs for $16~ when it goes on sale and it works great in anything from a turbo diesel to a motorcycle.
