I can't locate my front o2 plug. Can anyone tell me where the wires start so I can follow them around and hopefully find it? Pics would be appreciated if you can post 'em!

They are on the intake side in the big harness. O2 sensor is in the exhaust. Could be at the intake manifold or mine is close to the transmission crossmember.

Mine separates from the rest of the harness by the intake, goes down along the transmission, splits to the reverse switch, then to the O2 sensor.

What about the front one on the manifold/header?

shouldn't have one on an 89+ AFAIK. if you've got one under the cab before the cat, that IS the front O2 sensor. rear O2 sensor is AFTER the cat and ONLY on cali trucks

That would be why I couldn't find it then. Ha ha. When I put my header on I took the heat shroud off the old manifold and it had an o2 sensor in it but the wires looked like they had been melted off and I couldn't find the other part to the wires so I was like wtf?! Ha ha.

I've heard some have 2 o2 sensors on the +89's? Cali versions or something like that? Seems like I've heard someone talking about it.

yes, California emissions package required the second O2 sensor to monitor the cat converter. then OBDII came along and everything had at least 2 sensors. (there's still a more restrictive cali package for obdII too, fun fun)
