good luck. This is my friends truck from 4years ago and when he told them it was his truck and they used the photo with out permission they told him to pound sand.

I'd take it as a compliment. The digital/new version of getting your truck in a magazine, kinda.

 

if its their photo, i.e. they took it themselves, they have the rights to it. If it is on the otherhand a photo you took but posted on the net, there is a discrepancy there.

 

at least he knows what those tail lights would look like on his truck..pretty good!! they should give him a discount!

IF dave can't get a discount or some kind of compensation for the use of his photo, I'd be willing to bet the owner of this board has a leg to stand on....seeing as they're using his/her logo and address without permission....

they cant get in trouble over that because you posted it on the internet therefore its public knowledge if you had it on myspace, facebook, here, ect. any public site you post something on they can take the picture and do what ever they want to it.

but i will say those tails look good on your truck!

 

It would've been nice to been asked, but we'll see what happens. This is a copy of the e-mail I sent them. Who knows, maybe I'll get free tail lights out of the deal.

you can try it man, but i went thru this with them when i had my car. they used a picture i had of it to try to sell a body kit that i had on it. nothing happened i just got told they took it from a public site

 

yeh they should hook u up wit some lights, they make so much money anyways im sure they can eat the cost of those lights.

 

Ok, so I've e-mailed the seller through their e-mail and through ebay with no response. I've also e-mailed ebay. Ebay says they can't do anything cause the seller didn't get it from another listing on ebay. They also say since they can't prove whose photo it is they can't do anything. I told ebay I have the proof to who took the photo, and still nothing. I think it is pretty cowardly that the seller is not responding.
