Hey guys I'm new to the mini truck scene, but iv been reading the **** ou of these posts and stuff over the last couple of days, I have a red n black 86pup I just bought yesterday, and I was wondering, is there any cheap way to get more outa my little 4 banger? Bty I will get pics up soon!
first off, welcome to the site! there is lots you can do to your truck to bring up the ponies..... better to help you tell us the specifics on your truck? carbed? efi? manual, auto etc..... and what you wanna do with it. also place this in the performance section of this forum for your generation truck, you'll get the better exposure
Looking at wiring is always good. New spark plug wires and larger gauge ground cables. Better alt or battery maybe? Or even just re-taping the harness helps. But I see you live in Texas so I guess it doesn't rain much.
Well not exactly, I live in a city called Lubbock and we have a little burmudia triangle affect here it dosnt rain a lot but when it does it usualy floods like yesterday for instance it rained and hailed, and today it's 80 degrees, this city is weird.
btw it is a 2.4L not a 2.0L unless that's a typo. If it was EFI I would say get an intake and then exhaust. I dunno what kinda carb stuff you can do but I'd start there. You want to increase the airflow and exhaust flow.
I dnt mean to sound mean or like an ass, but yeah I k ow it's a 22r and I know how to find ecodes and what not, but I do apreciate it.
