I don't have a garage or the time...Yet. And I want to go lower NOW, while being able to haul stuff.

I already have air shocks, but want a notch to regain susp. travel.

Can anyone recomend a shop or a buddy that produces good work in the Sacramento area?

I don't care if they are full-size guys, mini-guys, S10 guys, or Ranger guys.... just looking for a notch and not from someone looking to practice their welding skills on my truck with their recently bought harbor freight welder, lol.

Frame work should be done with a 220 welder to get the penetration needed to produce a strong weld! And I would go with a 8-piece notch so can get welds on the inside!!
If your talking about installing a c-section into the frame a 110 welder should be OK:cool:

I'm static dropped on 3" blocks right now and have 3" drop springs ready to go on...(Thanks Erick).

I know I can't use both without a notch, so I'm going to yank the blocks and run the springs until its notched... then ill probably b hitting up Beefed for some 1", 2", or MAYBE 3" blocks, we'll see.

I originally planned on a baby notch, but I'm not scared to cut my bed floor anymore and it would open up the possibility of going lower.... So, with that said, I'm thinking about a 5-6" notch to b safe.

I have dropped leaf's and 4" blocks on my 85. I used streetaco's weld in c-notch and have plenty of clearance with a good 7 inches of drop.

I guess nobody has had a notch performed by a shop or EXPERIENCED friend in Northern California?

If this wasn't my daily driver, I would take the 500mi trip down to someone I TRUST with my truck (Beefed Taco) and leave it for a week, lol. And that's saying lot, since I don't even know him and I like to do things myself, because I know they'll get done RIGHT!

No recommendations up here in northern CA?

About the only way I'll get any lower, is with a 4 link and bags. Some day, maybe, someday.

I bought my 8-piece notch from Steve @ Can Do, he was going to do the install , his welder was down so he sent me to a shop in Sacto. I'll see if I can find the business card!

    Thanks TA.

I just don't know who I can trust with my truck... if I do it myself, it could be a few years away, lol.
