Hey whats up guys.... Just a brief history about me and toys.I've been around mini trucks almost all my life, but I never really took interest in em'. I learned to drive on a POS 1986 hilux with a home made flatbed. I sold it to go on a class trip!. I have owned a bunch of cars since than and recently decided it was time to build a truck. so heres the beater i picked up. Its a 90 toy with a 20r,5speed trans, and low ratio rear(I havent checked what the gearing is yet and the previous owner didnt know:doah:).I got the truck with a really bad rattle can paintjob so i camo'd it till i figure out what color im gonna paint it..lol. Anyway I'm mainly here to learn, share and talk toyota. :waytogo:

thanks for the compliments guys. the truck came with the 20r swapped in already. It also came with a nice longstack LC header, but other than that its pretty much stock. As for build plans im just gonna fix all the cancer on her cause shes got rust. I wouldnt mine a set of mikuni sidedrafts and a cam in the near future.

hey man , nice looking truck, when you put your 89-91 4x4 grill on , did you need the headlight bezels?

what did you need to do to convert to 89-91 4x4 grill?

    thanks

yeah your going to need the left and right bezels. I think the 2wd corner lights should work with the 4x4 grille. If you got a good junkyard near you just pick up a whole 4x4 front end.
im not 100% sure but i think 2wd grilles are one piece. I thought I knew alot about trucks but i have realized i have alot to learn since i picked up this beater. Its to bad I might have to sale it to finish my project car.

I almost missed the truck in the pics...heh.

Nice camo job, I had a '71 Datsun B110 I did that to years ago with spray cans I bought from Long Beach Surplus.

Nice truck, welcome to the group.

cool , i dont wanna spend too much money , im trying to get just the grill i dont really care too much about the fenders and bumper, i think i can probably get the grill and headbezels for 30-40 at a junk yard, there are 7-10 junk yards near me

what car is your project? i always wanted a s13 , i am tired of my honda, rwd ftw

z32 is tight, twin turbo can smoke most cars on the street including v8 cars
