    exactly im crazy:looney:

seriously though, the older ones have crappy screws near the arm i am pretty sure newer ones are smother or more simple looking.

Im all about the tiny details. Ill figure it out on my own and let yall know if i have to. :verdict_in:

I would love a set of wipers with squirters built in. I hate the way they look on the hood and the associated hoses under the hood.

I think 92 and newer might have the "improved" wiper arms. The newer type arms eliminate that adapter and 2 screws deal and you can use any wiper now. It looks cleaner too. My 94 came with them and I liked them so much I changed the ones on my 90 4Runner. Keep tabs on which side is which because they're slightly different.
Removal is super easy, carefully remove the plastic caps that cover the nuts that hold the wiper arm in place. Once the nut is off just wiggle the wiper arm and it should come loose.
Installation is the reverse. Try not to leave the arm sprung in the up position, when that arm comes smacking down on the windshield, it can crack it. Good luck:waytogo:

if you have had an old toyota and a new one, you know how much the old arms suck. the screws are usually stuck in the arm, and the 78 arms use a weird spring setup to pull them against the window, when i moved them up to wash it once...it broke. so, i need to put new wiper arms on.

for somebody with the newer arms, how wide of blades do they use and whats the distance from the mount to the spline pivot? i might look for some for my 78.

Yea i got some off a 95 4 runner a day ago. much better.

I have a 93 truck and it had the ugly 2 screw style blade arm.

Sorry but im picky. cant wait to get my other upgrades going. :runaway:

I'm running 17" blades that I picked up at Autozone. If by chance that might be too long, you can always go shorter.:waytogo:
