Hey all I wanted to jump in and introduce myself. My name is Larry, I live in San Jose, Calif., and I have a 1992 Deluxe Pickup that I bought brand new in January of 1992. It only has 160K miles on it, so I expect it to last a long time.

I can't say whats different for sure but they did sell those different models. I have a 92 DLX 4x4 and a 94 Standard 2wd. The difference I can see is the DLX has A/C and Power Steering and my Standard does not.

OK, I will come clean on this, a Dlx was an extended cab pickup with a long bed and upgraded carpets. Mine doesn't have a/c but it does have ps. My understanding is that the long bed with the extra cab is what makes it "deluxe".

And I probably paid more for it than I should have.

my dlx is a excab with short bed

excab with long beds never existed...

but that'd be one long sexy truck

    my dlx....

AC, PS, Auto, no power windows, no power locks, vent windows and door mirrors.

I had a fellow toyota trucker tell me his DLX had none of that, but I had another "base" have power stuff.

Alright, alright, if we are going to have an argument on whose is longer, let's just break out the tape measure and find out...
