Yay another forum, another intro thread (getting to be too many to keep track of) I just picked up my 91 22re 2wd for cheap...for good reason. but that's how I get my cars: lots of things to occupy me lol. already done a lot of un-hillbillying. I've also got a 90 cressida with a 5 speed swap and mild drop, in hte process of selling my 87 S10 (the most base model possible. no PS, no PB, 2 vent hvac, no sway bars, etc. after a crapload of work, it's about even with a stock toyota pickup with bad shocks and clutch :p) current daily commuter is a 77 suzuki GS400. previous vehicles include 86 camry, 96 ranger, 88 Cressida, and an 87 Cressida.

as for myself, I just finished my associates of auto tech, on my way to get a bachelors for it. before doing cars I worked and schooled for tech theater, mainly rigging of all sorts but a little of everything (building, designing, etc). been working in a shop attatched to a retail chain for 2 years now.

plans, plans, so many plans.... I'v been getting around to installing a 2JZGE into my cressida for...years now. slowly acquiring parts and whatnot. This spring I built a 7MGE at school, I was going to put that in my S10 but I got the toyota pickup and was going to do that, did more measuring and I don't think it'll fit BUT the 2JZ will because of the shorter crank pulley. so that's where the plans are now. though short term I need to do some suspension work... shocks for sure, either lower the t-bars in front or get aftermarket (found out about sway-a-way last night here) not much lower though, 1-2". anyone know of some good stiff shocks for stock height to -2"?

oh, and this is still a low-budget work truck for hauling stuff around so no bags/hydros lol. it WILL get beat to crap and certainly overloaded.

Well there's some food for thought. tho it looks as though neither of them are using the stock radiator, not that it'd keep a 7m cool anyway. definitely starts the gears turning...

My suggestion would be to use a V6 aluminum aftermarket radiator. I got a new one shipped for less than $100 on ebay. Search for a 1990 4runner v6, it seemed to net more results.

And the 7M is a good swap, common with 4wd guys.
