New to Toyotas, '75 Hilux Chinook, Seattle

    I know Datsuns, Mercedes, VW, Mitsubishi, Maserati, but this is the first Toyota I've worked on.

    I've wanted a Chinook since the late '70's when I used to see them out in Colorado; and now I'm a proud owner. This thing is so cool.

    The items that I would look at first are an Electromotive HPV-1 crankfire ignition, an LSD for going up to the mountains to ski (and a set of chains), an increase in c.r., a wide-band O2 sensor for tuning, and maybe a wide ratio 5 spd trans instead of the 4 spd. I'm impressed with the 20R as-is (mild cam, header, custom exhaust with a Corvette muffler, Weber 32/36, electronic ignition), but once loaded, it might be taxed to climb the hills.

    Mini Mo-Ho is its name.

    Here's a few photos, I'll get some more. I've started some trim/touch-up, like painting the blue hood. I didn't want glare from a white hood plus the match would have been tough to get.
