My 1989 toyota pickup 22re 4clyd brake light and battery light turned on the same time while I was driving it for 10mins. After 20 mins of driving I seen my car smoking up. Open the hood and seen that my coolant thingy was boiling. Made it home than turned the car off while turning off the car and durning it was on it made a "eeeeee" sound and than aventually stopped. Next morning I check the hood and found out that my AC alternator belts where out. I've replaced my belts and car wouldn't start. Seems like the battery was dead but when I jumped my truck there seems too be life but still won't start the car? Coolant seem empty when I checked at the time. Don't know what to do? Should I change my battery, so it starts? and also what caused my truck too smoke Up?
I responded to another one of your posts already, but.... If your engine wont turn over with a jump start, than you seized your engine up. The "smoke" was your engine over heating....
