Hey everyone, had my toyota for about 6 years. Parked it for a while and am starting to build it back up. I found this forum after being on yota tech for a while. I'm not a 4x4 guy so I feel I will enjoy this forum much more. My toyota is a 91 pickup with the complete uhaul mod done to it. P.S. I'm in need of a fuel pump assembly.. Let me know if you have one to toss my way! Thanks! This is where it has been sitting for the last 3-4 years. I finally moved it and started working on it.
Total plans at this current moment are to get it running.. When it was parked I wasn't the one driving it. I had loaned it to a family member and it messed up while he was driving it. I parked it as I had a different car at the time and didn't care much to mess with it. Recently have gotten back into getting it running. I will put some pics up on the original post, give me a few minutes to get them up!
What I have done this last weekend is, complete tuneup, changed battery wires, changed fuel filter, changed starter, flushed gas tank, and was going to change the fuel pump but found out that the fuel pump assembly is all kinds of rusted and falling apart. Why I think the truck stopped running was because the fuel in the tank looked like red clay it was so rusted and nasty. When I changed the sparkplugs they were the worst looking plugs I've ever seen. I think the crud in the tank got sucked through the fuel lines, made the truck run like crap, and caused the pump to burn up. I should have taken pictures of the crud that was in the fuel as well as the fuel color and the sparkplugs but it slipped my mind. After I get the truck running like I want it to I'm going to start searching for some wheels that look better than the uhaul ones then look into getting a bed that will fit the wheels better. Debating on lowering it a couple more inches. I airbrush also so I'm sure this will end up with some of my work shot on it.
I'm going to keep it. I've talked to some people who recommended me to a place to get fenders made to fit for the bed.
I hope so! I'm thinking of painting it in a black and orange theme, not sure yet... Hardest part is going to be finding wheels that will mount up to the lugs...
have the wheels you got power-coated i friend of mine did that to his 94 chevy dually and it looks sick!!
there 2 places that make dually fender for toyota. moon eye in japan. and a shop out here makes them. the mooneye are nicer but there like 1200 here the moon eye and this is the shop in cali i thing it a bad pic but these are like 300
I'm from Marshfield, but I am always in springfield. I found a place here in missouri that is going to make the fender flairs. Just a matter of figuring out if I want them smooth or boxy.
