    hello toyotaminis.com

Im Michael Yee from Fremont CA. Currently a corolla ae86 owner, but looking into picking up a cheap hilux with a friend to mess around in, and drift and stuff.

so im here to look around and get some insight on the best way to go about building a drift toy truck.

i have a few concerns before diving in, maybe someone can guide me the ways..
    1. how do you make the steering not suck? my friend's prev toy truck had some really slow, not very responsive steering. would like it twitchy, and responsive.

    2. and best suspension set up for drift?

we're diy kind of guys, welding, engine swaps, custom suspension stuff is doable for us. but everything else we can't, we'll just take it to someone to get it done professionally.

thanks guys, looking forward to hanging around
heres my personal corolla blog if you're interested

I dont think the steering is sloppy, with a lowered truck and new steering components I think its pretty good...

for suspension you could always do a irs lsd swap from a supra or something.

thanks for reply. the sucky steering may have just bee something up with his set up..

but we'll see how it fans out with the truck we pick up.

i've been considering an irs rear end, but that job might
be a bit much as we're limited to our driveways..
