Hi all...new to the forum,but not to Toyotas...had a few over the years...currently running an 84 reg cab 22R...picked it up this spring with 52,000 orig miles....box is really rusty,cab has a little rust...plenty of dents and someone had the ingenious idea of painting it with a brush and roller some years ago...it needs a bunch of small repairs and maintenence,other than the cosmetics,but ive put 14,000 miles on it without putting anything into it but an oil change....other than when my kid rolled it over,but thats another story for another day...no pics of it before...
Well welcome to the site! As far as your truck goes nothing a bit of body work and parts cant fix. Everyone here is always willing to help out as far as extra parts they dont need as well as finding the best deals on parts from other sites or the community of junk yards around. Being as you are east coast I dont know of any yards over that way but I do know a very neutral to the country yard and its in Denver CO its called the Yotayard they are strictly Toyota junk cars/ trucks with very reasonable prices.
no definite plan as yet...gonna start by fixin the panels and replacing the grille,etc...wanna do some customizing,just not sure what ill come up with...i really want the same bed,but theyre hard to come by...frame is in great shape...no scaling or heavy rust at all...truck came from florida and was elderly-owned...leaking oil,and half a tank capacity or it leaks...picked it up for $200 and been driving as-is (which is ugly!!) started some body work,then my kid rolled it,so i kinda lost interest in that
