Hey guys, my names Joe. Dave "nvrenufedge" has been bugging me to join so here I am :D I started out with VWs, hence my name. My 1964 VW panel bus was and is my first car. A few years after the bus I picked up a 77 hilux for $800, 3 speed auto and a longbed with some SERIOUSLY oxidised red paint. Buffed it it out so many times I ended up with nice shiny primer on the roof and hood, it ended up bombcan black, 3 coils cut up front, 3" blocks and mono leafs and a 5 speed out of a 79 :runaway:

I drove the piss outta that truck for 6 years when I couldnt get it to pass smog and finally breaking a leaf I gave up and sold it. Theres an older pic of it all nice and low in the Cool old Yotas pics with my Lab in the back but heres how it looked when I got rid of it. Its still running around town all black again with different wheels.

I now have a 1983 SR5 4x4 Longbed with a 3" spring lift, 4.88s with lockers, truck supposedly has a Marlin Crawler 5 speed in it, at least it came with a receipt for one  sitting on 32" BFG ATs. Drove it for a while with a couple roadtrips to La Pine, Or and Monterey, Ca. Its now sitting in the garage waiting for new timing stuff since Ive been playing with my bus most of this year.

mines the half white one

believe it or not thats only its 3rd paintjob. It was Pearl white from the factory then you can see the purple and gray, then the teal and I have some pics that were emailed to me, it got pink scallops sometime in 1993, you can see where I hit it hard with the DA sander

just put a little lift an tires on the runner when you get it! forgot bout this one, had this 78 for a few months, wanted to use it and make my 77 into a 4 door longbed but had to get rid of it when neighbors started bitching. Notice a Datsun peeking out? thats the one with the tilt bed in the carshow thread lol
