Hey everyone, Been visiting this site for sometime now and thought I would introduce myself. My name is Rodney, im out of Turlock,ca and own a 1989 Toyota Pickup with a 2jz swap that I did myself. It has a few mods: t67 turbo set at 14 psi, FMIC, MBC, Intake, 3" turbo back exhaust, and solid tranny and engine mount ( vibrations are not to radical surprisingly) it has the stock auto tranny with aftermarket oil cooler mounted up front. Not sure on hp but im still taking it easy to make sure everything is in check. here are a few pics. all it really needs are some wheels, tires, and some paint. I just blew up my third auto transmission so im switching out for the r154. the converter exploded and broke the bellhousing in half nothing like having too much power through an auto
Heres a in car video. the truck now has a T67mm turbo. its a beast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGWHra0VmJM
Thanks for the warm welcome guys. It took me awhile to find a mini truck site dedicated to the toyota pickup. here are a few old pics. I need to update. these pics are over a year old but will give you an idea. ill update some new pics of my exploded trans T67 turbo, manifold, and 50mm wastegate My converter exploded, this is the damage. too much power doing the wiring here with the stock twins when I begun on new years day 2007 heres the old weak but brand new engine i pulled out and sold ( 22r )
It fell apart but other then that I would have haha. as it is now people dont race me because they think im all stock, pos truck. thats untill I hit wot and they are like wtf was that! lol " hey buddy, I think your truck is going to fall apart" look on there face is priceless. Smoked a porsch the other day then the transmission gave away.
ROFL, Love your undercover pickup, you should smoke every ricer you see =D They'd be like 'WTF!' record some of you smoking ppl, i would love to see that.
personally, i'd find an exhaust from a large V8 vehicle. should be able to flow well for a 3.0L I6 yet be quiet enough. they wont know its coming. Cut out?
First off welcome to the site!! Second love the truck.... nice sleeper look to it! Nice to see some more I6's on here! Nice job on the tranny too! Havent seen a blowup like that ever! Have you done any suspension work?? Or is it still a one wheeler peeler?
damn try and find another one maybe haha it just looks like a grandpa truck that has power. but welcome to the site
