Hey guys. Me and my brother are hard core supra fans, well back in november I sold my car to pay off bills and I needed something to get me back and forth to a job, so I paid $700 for a 1994 toyota 2wd pickup. It's a 22RE with a 5 speed.

Truck definantly needs some work. The hood, fenders, and doors have been cleaned up with bondo from previous owner, the bed needs to be replaced (dents, dings.. not my deal). I am also replacing the front fenders with 4wd ones, and also the hood, and rear tail gate.

I spent about 300 bucks on some parts for maintenance. Timing chain kit, head gasket kit, oil pan gasket, thermostat, headlights, front main seal, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, transmission fluid, motor oil, filter. I am also going to replace the brakes, radiator cap, water pump, and put in a SR5 gauge cluster, MK2 P-type bucket seats, power steering, tilt steering wheel, and some other things. :D

Was thinking about putting a 2jz into the truck using the BIC performance mounting kit, but felt that the rear end would need to be 4-linked to get any power to the ground so I decided not too.

    Our projects include a 7mge 4x4 toyota pickup, 400rwhp 57mm 7mgte 1985 supra, 67mm 7mgte 1982 supra, and a 1jzgte 1987 supra.

I am going to purchase a lexus sc300 after the truck is finished to put a 2jzgte/soarer R154 into it.

Btw.. did these 2wd trucks never come with tilt steering wheels?

Yeah got some work done yesterday and today.

Yesterday I drained the coolant and pulled the radiator out and got the front timing cover bolts out. I can't figure out why this truck wont start. It will push start and run fine, and we get power from the ignition to the starter switch, but again.. nothing afterwords.

Today I pulled everything else off, including the timing chain cover and head, and we are cleaning it all up. Tomorrow i will be putting it all back together.

yeah, much like you I realized I can't be dumping dollars into my ride anymore so I put it on pause and I'm fixing up this bucket of a Toyota and using it til it dies - which hopefully won't be for another long while.
i have more fun working on cars but it doesn't put bread on the table so....
