Been looking around on the site for a while now, finally decided to make an account. I bought a 87 pickup a couple months ago. Bought it because I wanted a reliable work truck that I wouldn't be tempted to do anything to. See now that is where the problem starts. Being on this site means that didn't last too long haha. We will see where it goes. Main thing is it needs to be able to still be a work truck. Anyways truck had 97k miles on it when I got it, currently has 107k. Had a weird problem that I'm pretty sure is gone now (bad gas). Other than that it has been a flawless truck. Here is a picture of when I got it. Here is as of today. Just got back from picking these up for $150. 7x16 +18 and the rear are 8x16 -10.
to get them nicely polished: 180 grit 400 grit 800 grit 1200 grit 1500 grit some good polishing compund! LOTS of elbow GREASE! Start sanding with those grits of sand paper USE EVERYONE listed because the finer you go the more scratches it will take off your final two, 1200 & 1500 grit, you want to use wet sanding, it's WAY better! if you go from like 400 to 1500 your gonna sand a lot more longer go through each one listed for it will be your best bet is you want to polish them! Or try some paint stripper I didn't try it... might be a lot easier....
Sweet truck, love those rims, haven't seen to many of them were I'm from........good find on both!!can't wait to see those rims on the truck
