Hey guys I bought a couple weeks ago a 1988 sr5 4x4 5 speed for 500$. The previous owner parked it on a boat loading launch engine facing the water and accidentally left it in neutral and it rolled in the water. It was submerged up to the Cabin. He had a mechanic look at it but he failed to get it started. But he got the water out of the cylinders. So when I went to go look at it I noticed the distributer wires were all mich matched so I didn't say any thing .I'm fixing it up to be my daly driver. I plan not to do any crazy mods like suspension. I like my yotas stock.there's a few problems I'm having with it but They will be separate topics. The frame is surprisingly not Swiss cheese like same with the body for being a Michigan truck. So fare what I replaced was the transmission oil and engine oil spark plugs and got the distributer wires put in the right location. I went to start her up and the stater wouldn't turn over so a few good hits with a hammer later and bam the engine started up like a champ and boy does she drive like a champ too.
