I'm thinking about changing the stock gauges to new gauges from an auto parts store, like the autometer gauges. im wanting voltmeter, tach, speedo, water temp, and oil pressure. my question is are they hard to install and what is required for the installation? thank in advance for all the help.

SD YOTA did a write up on how to install the SR5 gauges. You might learn something from reading it. You also might learn something by taking your dashboard apart and following where wires go etc.

after market gauges are very simple to hook up. if you use mechanical gauges they are a no brainer but electrical are more common. still. they are simple to hook up. im getting new gauges in the truck soon as well. ill make sure to make a good write up on installs.

auto meter gives you a wiring diagram to follow. it should be fairly self explanitory. there's not many wires and each one is a simple connection to a common source after you install.
