Hello All, My name is Andrew and I am new to the Minitruck world. I have always had a passion for cars, and I have modded several, ranging from Honda Civics to Lexus Gs400's. I am an enthusiast by heart. I recently had gotten bored over the past year with the cars and recently decided that i wanted to get a truck and try this all over again. I knew that this was going to be a challenging area and something new as well. I am still learning the in's and out's of the Hilux. I originally wanted a 84-89 model because this is the truck that my dad had when i was growing up, but i just stumbled upon a 79' SR5 that i paid $2,500 for. I did not think it was a bad deal, since the battery, carb, fuel pump, tires, and brakes had been changed. Its not perfect by anymeans and will need and interior, alot of love and money to get it where I want it to be!! I am excited to embark on this new challenge and hope that I am welcomed into this community. So far i plan on ordering a new shift knob, get seats reupholstered(or find some decent used seats), rims, drop, fluid change. Thank you all in advance for your knowledge, support and kind spirits!! Yea, it is. Runs good and just changed all the fluids yesterday. Im going to tinker with it today as well, because i found some unplugged connections under the dash, and i am going to investigate it to see where they go, because my radio does not work and this could be the fix.
