Sooooooooooo on thursday night a few of us went off roading. It was good fun for awhile when we were about to head home and my buddy dares me to drive through a rather large puddle.... he said "its not more than a foot deep at the most". So i listened to him and decided to drive through it..... At that moment my nose droped and the 4runner was on one hell of a angle............ Put it in 4 low in reverse eased onto the gas and started sinking deeper and on a worse angle. Moral of the story dont trust your friends and always check to see how deep a puddle is before you decide to go through it!!! And after all that a 2005 Dodge ram HEMI with an off roading package could pull me out. Had to call in the big guns..... a 1955 Dodge Power wagon with a PTO driven winch. This Guy!
As u can imagine it was a interesting night..... and it got worse. The side that went under.... is the side my ECU is on. Which is now fried and full of water! So if anyone has a 3VZ 4X4 A/T Computer kicking around... that would be SUPER! Thx!
That Sux. i wish i had a cpu for you. i know what you mean though my buddy told me i could make it up over this hill when i had my 88 and what do you know i blow the the damn third member out so i will never listen to my friends anymore when driving at least.
i always say..... if its your truck then you drive through/up/in it....... otherwise shut up and let me do the driving.....
been there done that a buddy of mine has a 4x4 ranger that seems to like baths, he's had it that deep or better about 6times. he always seems to luck out with the ECU tho.
haha holy crap thats deep. bummer dude, hope you find a ecu soon. I have a 2jz ecu, with that it should add vtec? lol
I hate to say is SVS, but it looks like Predracer has you beat. Sorry to hear bout the 4Runner, good luck with the ECU. Have you tried junkyards? I know that there are a few 4Runners like that where I bought my overpriced seats for my now dying 4x4.
I've been there as well but not quite that deep! I had my whole front end under water at a a very steep angle but I was relatively flat from side to side.
