So as some of you guys remember I bought some JDM turn signals and I want to see if anyone has some advice as to how I should go about wiring them up/ The factory harness has a 2 wire female plug to connect the stock single bulb and the JDM one have 2 separate wires for each bulb. I pondered hooking up the white bulbs to a switch but I think it would be way cooler to actually wire them to the lights. any thoughts?
so your wanting the white to be running lights? and when you say hook up to the lights then they would both flash?
Ah there's an idea for sure. I suppose depending on the level of complication tha could be something to think about. Though simply making the whites running lights and just having the amber as signals seams more reasonable.
I see six options: 1: Wire the two sockets in parallel and have the white flash with the yellow. 2: Wire the yellow to flash, and the clear with a manual switch for 'driving' lights 3: Wire the yellow to flash, and the clear to come on with your corner marker/tail 'parking' lights 4: Wire the yellow to flash, and the clear to come on with your headlights 5: Wire the yellow to flash, and the clear to your ignition for 'always on' daytime running lights 6: Go crazy with some electronics and wire them to alternate yellow to clear when you use your turn signal.
