Ok so one of my good buddies has a project 86 yota. It's not running but has a rebuilt motor that I don't think has ever been started. It's bagged an bodied with an rx7 irs. Fully shaved except tails an it's on 18s. He said he'd sell it to me for a grand without the rims (plus I don't want them). So I need some opinions on if I should get this from him. If I do I would ditch the cab an bed an drop a 87 4runner body on it an switch it to efi because I have it all layin around. Lemme know what you guys think thnx in advance

s grand just for a rolling chassis, thats saying you ditch the body (or sell it) IMO to much money for a frame, would be easier becuase its already bagged. But i think it would be better to get a 4runner and just bag it..

I think it would cost me more just to find a 4runner around here they aren't very cheap even for a none running one. Ya it's a rolling chassis but the motor alone is worth me buying it an the fact that it has an IRS would be perfect for a runner

I think you are better off getting an 86+ efi 4runner...... for about 500 or so more, you already have efi and a body done....... considering you can sell the trans, transfer axles and ifs stuff you would be better off.......... but thats just me. always wanted to do a 1st gen runner on bags since ive never seen it done....... you already have big fenderwells and 4x4 sheetmetal..... its all a matter of converting to a 2wd trans rear axle (or ifs) and constructing the front a-arm stuff...... considering you ditch all the 4x4 stuff fairly easy its easier that way.

Seei already have an 86 efi runner but there is so much back registration an the insides are tworn up but body is straight an if I buy my buddies I can just throw the runner body on an hook up the efi an electrical onto the 22r an it's done. Instead of buyin a runner an sellin a bunch of stuff an fabin up stuff
