I was thinking about lowering my 76 2" all the way around. Wanna keep the rear end a little higher so I'm not going 3" in the rear. Is there a particular lowering block set I have to get for a hilux or will any universal one work. Also should I cut the front springs or I've seen some people mention mighty max springs. Are those off another truck or how does that work. Any help would be appreciated.

You got it . I'm sure if not positive 100% a universal 3 inch block will work .. Maybe even beef tacos blocks will work whatever you do get some higher quality ones ......as far as the front I think mighty max springs are a direct replacement unsure of the drop maybe 1 0r 2 inches

Mighty max springs are from the mighty max truck maid n the 80s by Mitsubishi
Should have a few in the local yards ., I think the small dodge d100 was of the same chassis

So from what I've gathered this is what I need:

    Front:
-Moog springs #2278 constant rate coil springs (2" drop over stock springs)

    Rear:
-Belltech universal lowering block 2" with a 2 degree taper

*do I need to replace the front and rear shocks or can I run my stock ones? Also I've read people talking about removing the front sway bar. When would I need to do that. I'm only looking for a 2" drop all around nothing too drastic...

Stock shock length will work out back .. I'd replace with quality ones if worn out
Up front I'd use a lowering shock belltech nitro or cal tec bilstein
You may find yourself chopping a coil off up front for a bit more drop after everything is installed
And sway bar don't mess with yet doubt you'll have an issue there

Since I need to replace the front shocks and probably should replace the rears while I'm at it, does anyone know which ones to get? I've read somewhere people talking about camaro shocks. But which year and model?

I've decided to go with the Moog 2278 springs in the front, and the 2" belltech lowering blocks in The rear. Just need to figure out the shocks issue...
