Driving back from PDX this weekend the distributor seized and sheared the drive gear too. Anyone in the Seattle area have a useable vernier adjustable (stock 1976) distributor and drive gear for sale?

I have a drive gear from a 22r if that helps, and a dizzy but Idk if it will work for you.. its for a carb motor tho

 

I have a spare distributor and drive gear on my 78 parts truck... There is also a 75 parts truck in the Arlington Pull-a-Part that is mostly complete (as of 08/28/10)... If you are interested, shoot me an offer. I work in the Northgate area and live up by Everett.

Not sure if 22R is useable, but I bet it would be if it uses points and condenser. Where are you located?

Result. Possible that low oil may have overheated the distributor, or just that it had 109,004 miles in it. Don't know. Back on the road though. Hope oil filters actually filter oil.

Note to self: Install magnetic drain plug next oil change.
