    Help Toyotamini'ers!

    Vehicle 1977 RN28, 20R, AC, 5 Speed, LB

So I was trying to trouble shoot a rough idle that I have. The truck has been garaged for the past 6 years and I start/drive it every 2 weeks or so. I'm due for smog so I was getting it ready. I found that I have a vacuum line that doesn't connect to anything and was wondering if anybody knew where it goes. Right now I have it plugged with a bolt but that does not seem to make a difference.

As you can see there are 3 hoses running off this particular fitting. The line runs between the carb and head to the back of the engine and stops.

I have also put in gas treatment and am trying to run through this tank of gas in case it might be old.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well that's a Thermal Vacuum Switching Valve (TVSV) I can tell you...the hose you point to probably is hooked up to Automatic Switching Valve (ASV). I'd have to see your engine bay to see your setup, but yours shouldn't be extremely different from mine (unless your in CA). Do you have access to a vacuum diagram from your year?
