dont really know if is a problem or old toyotas feel like this. when i drive on a bridge the wind make it move side to side. i changed the center link , 2 inner ball joints, and the steering damper; what ells can replace to prevent from doing this.:shrug::confused:

I notice mine catching the grooves in the road when the tires are low.

Mine feels the same way sometimes, but then again, I've got the 4x4, so crosswinds are very fun.

low tires cause the truck to pull to one side or the other... as for winds, if theyre strong enuff theyll pull u to one side also... its because the trucks are lighter

Ditto on all the above, add to that - Welcome to the world of minis or light duty trucks, grooves, winds, semis passing and tires/pressure all work hand in hand to create a unique driving experience. Consider the world filled with big rigs and heavier traffic and sometimes alot of it, and you got the wandering. Me . . . Ive just learned to grin and bear all the fun that roads have on my mini, add to that the fact that Im running 40 series tires and can set er down to the pavement as low as my nerves will let me. . . Now thats fun . . .

Wish I could get mine that low sometimes, be more stable at high speeds. 4x4's are nice, but low riding is not a specialty of them.

yea, cross winds are a bitch in the 4x4's........... my 85 with a 6" lift, and 35's was like a sail up there catching all the wind. most of it has to do with the weak front sway bar.... they dont do much on the 4x4's and there's alot of leverage ont them. also, these trucks have alot more ground clearance on them than standard cars so the wind gets under them too and destabilizes them..... its common...

jsut make your truck lower.... :D

cross winds are pretty intense.... also the lack of power when going headwind.

I do about 80-90 average on the highway, truck will need me to point steering wheel at least 5 degrees left or right sometimes, it may just also depend on the road's "tilt" angle (bank angle i mean). but when a huge hard wind hits, it will sometimes move a feet left or right.

and my truck is only 1" lower up front... and extracab, more side space..
