Anyone want to pickup where I've left off? I can give you the details, but it's almost all in my build thread.

It's become more money than I could afford to spend on a Daily, and other expenses are getting in the way. In short I have more important things to spend my money on.

I'm looking for $1200 because of all the work and parts I've thrown at it... I'm up to $2150. I won't go below $1000, it wouldn't be worth it. If I can't get $1000 I'll keep it.

Quick overview:
- Tires new, Jeep 15x6 wheels
- new timing chain and gaskets
- new water pump
- new idler arm, steering stabilizer, 23mm sway bar
- new Poly bushings for everything
- new radiator and fuel hoses, new clamps (not those crappy spring ones)
- LCE EGR blockoff kit
- Weber adapter with EMPI 32/36 that runs. Air cleaner that doesn't fit, but works for a real Weber 32/36
- New shocks all around
- New spare hoist

Do you still have the stock SR5 wheels/center caps?

 

Yeah, sorry to hear, too. Going by your list it almost seems like she's well on her way to becoming a reliable daily driver. Can't help but hope you change your mind.

 

I still have the caps, not the wheels. Sold the wheels.

There's a lot of things I haven't finished yet. The bushings aren't in the front end yet, neither is the sway bar. I have them, just haven't had time to do it. I keep putting it off and putting it off, and as you know bills just happen from time to time.... and priorities kinda hit. I've almost doubled the budget and there's no end in sight. It just kinda got out of hand. I'd love to finish it, but I just know it's gonna blow up and be a LOT more than I planned and can afford, and with an 18 month old daughter... yea, bills.

I still plan to slap those front end and leaf bushings in this weekend, and continue until it's sold... I don't know if it's going to happen so I have to just keep going until then.

BAH.

 

Put it on CL for 1500. No doubt you'll sell it. DO NOT TAKE LESS THAN 1200, worth every penny. Sorry about your situation, GLWS

Well I'm not in a big hurry if I sell it at all, I'm still working on it and the more I get done, obviously the higher the price may be, but I'm open to offers. It's not a roller right now since I have the lower control arm bushings to install. Let me know when you wanna look at it.

 

Just thowing it out there, would be interested in an RA21 Celica trade... doesn't have to be a nice one, just gotta not be swiss cheese.

 

Update: I installed the bushings and new sway bar. I have a rebuild kit for the carb. Needs to be gone thru and tuned and jetted. Runs, but very lean right now.

Will include the carb kit, and all the extra parts I have for it. I'm still assembling things I've grabbed for it, so I'll keep posting updates. Gonna slap this on Craig's by the end of the week. The bathroom and the other stuff that needed to get done went (of course) way over budget (doesn't it always?) so here we go again.

Still looking for $1200 minimum.

On Craigslist now. head gasket is leaking coolant, I won't ever have the time to tear down the whole motor, took me a week just to slap the intake back on. Just too much to do and too many hours I have to work a week. Will make someone a nice solid truck when the head gasket's done, I had just about everything done.... BAH.
