I finally bought another truck, a 1977 Hilux!

It runs like a champ, no smoke and few, if any, leaks. Score!!:D PO had new clutch put in, new tires put on, and had the carb gone through. Too bad im putting a weber on it! haha. Within 8 hours of owning it i already spent $300 on goods for it. it needed a window and a regulator, and i also bought enough gaskets and such to keep me busy for a few days..

Hopefully it will be lowered and have its quirks worked straight by summer.

Its not as nice as it looks, but pretty darn close! it needs a few things, some of which i havent been able to find, like a fuel level sensor thingy, and just small things... Atleast it was only $800!!

Since those pictures I've cleaned the inside out completely, vacuuming and cursing and shinig things up.. The only things that need help are the seat and dash, which are normal after 35 years..

This truck is turning into an amazing deal! So far nothing is horribly wrong, just needs cleaning and a little bit of body work. I put in a new voltage regulator and it fixed all its problems that were worrying me, like driving it home the charge light would flicker faintly, and it seemed like some things were shorting with other things, and my low and high beams were not exactly working.

As soon as I put it all back together after cleaning inside and out Ill post a picture for a before and after to show how dirty it was! Atleast the filth saved me $200! haha

I finally cleaned ALL of it.. I got rear-ended and had to deal with insurance... Got $671 for 3 dents and bent bumper brackets:D

Soon to be done: Weber 32/36, sandblast intake, entire EGR delete, thorough engine cleaning and starting body work..

Ill post up some more pics tomorrow when it is light out..

All I really need is the fuel gauge sender unit that's in the tank.. Mine only reads 7/8 to full otherwise it's on empty.. How does the passenger front fender look? Mine is crunched.. Other then those two things my truck is in good shape

Im in Vancouver right where 205 and i5 meet

Also, as promised here are some updated pics..
Its not as shiny as it looks, but it was raining.. I did cut and buff a small area and it shines right up! You can also see the spot that needs some body work on the front fender, but other then that shes pretty straight.
