I just picked up my first Toyota last week. Was sitting at my job site for over 1.5 years. Bought it for $500.

Got some big plans for this little thing but it will need some work.

Yesterday I bought some wheels off a Lexus is300.

took off the rear bumper today. Guy had crudely welded a ford ranger bumper. Took a hack saw to that. (still a bunch of dirt on the truck)

Friend of mine offered to paint the truck for me. Not sure if I want to paint a matte black or pear white.

The interior is shot so I will be replacing the entire thing.

    Much more to come.

Yea your truck is where I got the idea of the pear white. But those little pin stripes are kinda growing on me. Are those stock stripes or aftermarket?

I was looking into replacing the flooring. Right now its like a rubber flooring and all I'm seeing is a carpet replacement. Anyone know where I can get a vinyl replacement? My work boots are always muddy so I hate to get a carpet as it will get destroyed very fast and I don't like floor mats

Just installed my lowering kit. Got a 4" block kit but I'm not happy with it. Got it installed and only saw a .75" drop from stock height. Not sure if I did something wrong.

Have all my leafs but that shouldn't matter. I'm not changing anything in th suspension, just the location of the axel. I drove it around a little after doing he other side and realized my driveway is sloping to one side. When I got it to flat ground it dropped. Right now I'm almost rubbing fender

    Just a little update.

Just bought a new Weber 32/36 carb, new head gasket kit (mine is leaking like a siv), and while Im at it was told it would be a good idea to replace the timing chain as well so I ordered one of those as well.

Looking forward to tare into my truck as this will be the first non domestic truck I have ever worked on. Also this truck will drive so much better with all this!

Will update after everything gets installed.

Thought it would be time for a little update.

I installed the Weber carb and the truck was running great. Another member (twin turbo taco) lives a couple blocks away and said i should replace the timing chain. I ordered up the parts and what should have been a couple hour project turned into a pain in the butt 3 days. Without any details I now have a completely rebuilt motor (head gasket, timing chain, timing chain cover, water pump, oil pump and a few other parts).

Great news about it is the truck has never ran so well and I went from 15mpg to just under 30mpg.

Also I started collecting parts to completely redue my interior. Right now I have brand new black carpet, all new sound system (adding two new sets of speakers in the doors plus two 10" subs for behind the seats).

Bought some 7 way adjustable leather heated seats from a brand new Audi ($150 for both on Craigslist!!)

Also today I just got myself some STARIONS! Bought them off Craigslist. They are a staggered pair off a conquest. Will be polishing them up in the next few days. Also got all new rotors and pads for the brakes with new shocks all around.

So I finally took some pictures today.

I polished up the Starions and painted the inner part black. Had to do some bed modding to get them to tuck in.

Also was super busy this past weekend with the interior. Ripped out the old brown vinyl floor and installed new black carpet. Got rid of the only crappy bench seats and installed some new leather heated seats and painted the dash black.

I'm about 95% done with the interior. Just building a custom armrest/sub box and finish the door panels with speakers in them.

Huge difference from before and after
