Ok sooo, i got the option of building a 22R Laser block carburated, OR, this 2RZ, distributor-less engine, that i just bought with a W58 with the correct bell-housing for hooking them both up! i got the engine harness, now i need the ECU and i guess the rest of the harness? the block and head is supposed to have 189K but he threw in ARP Studs and pistons and rods w/ 5k miles here's a couple pics... btw, i picked these items up for $100
Ricky I have a comp clutch stage 2 very streetable for 160 bucks. Less than 10k miles on it. Let me know if you want to pick it up from me. Ask Ton about it. Still in very good condition.
Oh yess, and yes! craigslist around these parts can be very wonderful! even if i don't get to USE the 2RZ, I'm sure if i could rebuild it, i could make stupid money out of it! Moving on, today i didn't do much... i took out the 22R Laser block from the '86 parts truck i have in my backyard(Anyone need a short bed with very minimal surface rust on the body of the bed, but quite a bit of bubbled rust on the lining in the bed for $200? pm for pics!) and took off the W46 tranny.. i also have a 3.08 8" G-Code for $100 bucks local!! idk about shipping freight stuff lol! get a price and you pay the shipping!.. Ok, so the block looks pretty dam decent, the head is off, the head worries me though, looks a little rough! So yup, plan to just have this 22R Laser rebuilt by the end of the month to swap it into my old mans 84 yota pu... then i'll work on the 2RZ cuz my budget is VERY limited!! so yeah..
Hey guys, small help required, ok so what do you guys think i should do for motor mounts for the 2RZ? i hear of someone running Custom mounts(PredRacer) and someone else around here is running stock 2RZ mounts with the base rewelded about 1.5" back... dam i'm stumped because i also plan to run that Dub58... I want to get that Dub58 to where it is just right under that hole for the Shift cover...Hopefully later this week I'll start with some measurements!... Damn this is just too much fun!! Oh and BTW, I contacted LCE about a custom oil pan, that's going to be a but rhape! lol... RE-EDiTED!!!
