Whats going on everyone, just though I would post some pictures of this 79 I picked up from a buddy of mine. He sold it to me cheap. I is hopefully going to the body shop in about 2 weeks to get worked on, paint is gonna be Porsche Slate Gray. Has some rust on the bed area and a couple of dents but the frame is perfect. The interior was redone by the original owner some time ago and the 20r motor has about 200 miles since rebuild. I am currently working on building another motor to go into this one, I haven't decided on a specific engine yet, either 20/22r hybrid or all out with a V8 swap. Just gonna get it to look good for now..At least that's what I told the wifey! Anyways I know you guys like pictures so here you go, before and after it's new shoes!

Either gonna do a 20/22r full setup or a 383 stroker, I don't yet. I need to do more research on stuffing a V8 into a 2wd. Any ideas?

Getting ready for paint!

Here are some pics of my sorry attempt at bodywork, ironically, I can paint a hell of alot better than I can do body work..LOL Filled in some holes, fixed a bunch of rust on the bed and tried to smooth it out as much as I could. Still has some bumps but I am not worried about it, gonna build it to go not show!...Check it out:









The paint is gonna be a sort of Gunmetal Bronze blend. Gonna do about 4 coats of color and 3 coats of clear. It's not gonna win any car shows but it should look better than just plain old white. Wish me luck!
